What is the Privilege Key?

What is the Privilege Key?

The Privilege Key is access to the server admin. This gives you the status of server admin.

How do I use the Privilege Key?

Click on "Permissions" in the top navigation bar in the TS3 client and then "Use Privilege Key". Once the Privilege Key has been entered, you are the server admin.

You will receive your Privilege Key by e-mail from us after ordering/changing tariff.

Important note:

The Privilege Key is generated when setting up the server and is sent by e-mail.

The Privilege Key can only be used once! Once the Privilege Key has been used in "Permissions -> Use Privilege Key", the user has admin privileges and the key will expire.

I no longer have privileges on my TS3 server!

If you have removed your privileges with a misplaced mouse click, or no longer have privileges after setting up the system again, you can request a new Privilege Key using our web interface.

Simply login at 4Netplayers.com and then click "My Servers". You can request a new key to be sent to you by e-mail in the server settings.

This can then be used in the TS3 client in "Permissions -> Use Privilege Key ".

Which ports does Teamspeak3 use?

A Teamspeak3 server uses the following ports:

Default port (incoming UDP): 9987
Default filetransfer port (incoming TCP): 30033
Default serverquery port (incoming TCP): 10011
Default weblist port (outgoing UDP): 2010
Default tsdns port (incoming TCP): 41144

If you have connection problems or problems with individual Teamspeak functions, you should check your firewall to ensure that these ports are open to the named protocol. Important: Many providers assign a port other than 9987 for the connection to the server! If you have connection problems, the cause might be that your Internet provider is blocking certain ports.

Expanded permissions system

If you would like to use the expanded permissions system, you can activate it in the client under "Settings" -> "Options" -> "Application" -> "Misc" -> "Advanced permissions system".

How can I change the server name or the server password?

To do so, click the server name in the TS3 client, right-click and select "Edit Virtual Server"

Now you will have the options of changing the server name and the server password.

How can I change the host message and the server banner?

To do this, you need to have purchased the "Own server banner" tariff option. With this, you can change the host message and the type of message under "Edit Virtual Server". The server banner can also be changed here and be given a new link. If you do not own any web space, you can upload your own banner in the "Customer Center" under "My Servers".

How do I use file transfer?

If you have activated file transfer in your tariff, files can be uploaded onto your server.

You do this using the TS3 client.

To do so, right-click on a channel and select "Open File Browser".

A new window will open. In this window you can simply right-click and choose "Upload Files" to upload files to the Teamspeak 3 server.

How do I set channel/group icons?

In Teamspeak 3, you have the option of setting your own icons for groups and channels. To do so, proceed as follows:

1) Right-click on the channel for which you want to set an icon.

2) Click "Channel Permissions".

3) Then open the menu point "Group".

4) Double-click the permission "Icon ID" and a new window will open. It is important to double-click the "Value" field.

5) In this window you can now select an icon and even upload your own icon. Once you have chosen an icon, simply double-click it. The icon will now appear to the right of the channel.

It is the same for server groups, except instead of editing "Channel Permissions", edit "Server Groups".

Teamspeak Viewer

For safety reasons, we do not make any entries in the whitelist. For this reason, a TS Viewer might not work as TS Viewer requests are blocked.

We have developed our own viewer that works seamlessly and that can be adapted without technical problems using a style sheet.

You will find this viewer at http://teamspeak-viewer.4players.de/

A 4Netplayers.com account is needed to register the server.

The service is not limited to 4Netplayers.com servers. All Teamspeak servers can be entered, whether they're TS2 or TS3.

How can I add an image to a channel?

In TS3, you have the option of adding an image to a channel.
This is done using a BBCode.

To do so, simply enter the following code in the description of the channel:

[img]http://www.URL-of-the-image.com/Image.jpg[/img]

Please note that you must ALWAYS link to the image. http://www.host.com/image.php?ID=abcdef will not work!

You can find more information about BBCode at https://www.phpbb.com/community/faq.php?mode=bbcode
